Bleecker Burger meets Pitt Cue Co

Food

Bleecker x Pitt Cue Co burger

Meaty legends Bleecker Burger and Pitt Cue Co joined forces on London’s Southbank for one night only to raise money for charity in the tastiest possible way. For Pitt Cue Co this was a real return to their roots, starting out as a food truck in the same stretch of the capital.

What sets Bleecker apart from the city’s other burgers is the simplicity of their menu, and even the burgers themselves: meat, cheese, onions, sauce, bun. Done.

Bleecker x Pit Cue Co: The Big Ode Burger

The Big Ode Burger builds upon that formula, adding the delicious pork that Pitt Cue Co are so well known for. Take a classic juicy Bleecker cheeseburger, add succulent pulled pork, tangy pickles, slaw, barbecue mayo and hot sauce and you’ve got yourself heaven in a bun.

The accompanying special fries were smothered in rich bone marrow gravy. It did feel a little decadent after the burger, but a delicious treat none the less.

The real reason for all this good eating was to support and raise money for Hospitality Action. They’re an organisation that offers vital support to people who’ve worked in hospitality and find themselves in crisis. I’m sure the profits from the limited run of 200 burgers and fries will have done lots to support their work.

If you missed out but are currently drooling onto your phone screen, never fear because Thursday 23 August 2018 is National Burger Day!
